Big Questions: How can we be better stewards of our environment?
Monday, 15 May 2023

Join Pastor Ray Minniecon and Dr Andrew McGonigle as we explore this question from Aboriginal and scientific perspectives

Old Andreans and Hessians are invited to be part of our exciting new seminar Big Questions – providing stimulating and interactive conversations with expert guests on interesting topics that will challenge us to think, provoke our curiosity and encourage us to reimagine the world.

The first in the series is a conversation between Pastor Ray Minniecon, who represented Australia's First Nations' peoples at the 26th Climate Change Conference in Glasgow in 2021, and Dr Andrew McGonigle, an award-winning scientist, inventor, pioneer and teacher. They will explore environmental stewardship from both Aboriginal and scientific perspectives.

With a chat-style format facilitated by Old Andrean Lily Meek (OA2017), our two guests will share their knowledge, understanding and different experiences of the world around us. This will be followed by a Q&A session where audience participation is encouraged.

Date: 24 May

Time: Doors open 5.40pm for a 6.00pm start

Location: Chapter House
