SACS Hessians
Monday, 7 November 2022

For those who aren’t aware – we have a group in the SACS community called the Hessians.

Hessians are parents of Old Andreans and their name is derived from Hessian – the material which makes sacks (SACS).

All parents of SACS alumni are automatically Hessians, in the same way all SACS alumni automatically become Old Andreans and we would love to hear from as many of you as possible.

The Hessians present a great opportunity to stay in touch with the friends you spent so many hours with when your students were here at School,  and give back to the SACS community by way of mentoring, volunteering, donating and socialising.

This year the Hessians were invited to pre-drinks at the musical Annie at the Concourse Theatre in Chatswood, and in Chapter House prior to the year’s Showcase. They also had a lovely informal social on October 21st with more than 50 in attendance. A great time was had by all, and it was particularly lovely to meet the new Head of School, Dr Julie McGonigle.

We are already looking forward to the next one.
