Reunion season gets underway
Friday, 12 August 2022

The bumper 2022 reunion season has well and truly got underway. The five-year reunion for the Class of 2017 happened in early June and the twelve-year reunion for the Class of 2010 happened in late July.

We are very excited to welcome the OAA Classes of 2011, 2012, 2000, 2001, 2002, 1990 and 1971 back to SACS for their respective reunions very soon.

Heres a recap of what has gone on so far this year.

Class of 2017

The OAA Five Year Reunion was held for Class of 2017 on June 4th at the Arthouse Hotel, it was a great turn out from the year group with over 80 attendees.

The venue was located only minutes away from St Andrews surrounded by a variety of classic food spots that students would visit during lunch and recess - within the school boundary of course!

The night also debuted the new OAA media wall which made for a great photo backdrop to capture the night’s fun.

The night was a big success for a memorable year group, it was wonderful to see friends reconnecting and sharing what they are up to five years out of school. Despite it being only half a decade since this group graduated, the diverse industries of which they have spread speaks volumes about the drive of the Old Andrean.

Thanks to the class of 2017 for filling the Arthouse with laughter and chatter, we can’t wait to see you in again very soon

Also, a big shout out goes to Christian Liger for wearing his year 12 jersey and OAA tie!

Class of 2010

The OAA Twelve Year Reunion was belatedly held on July 30th only two years after originally planned due to COVID cancellations.

The Class of 2010 were thrilled to return to SACS to explore the school, see what had changed and to reconnect with old classmates.

The school tours were a particular highlight, with OAs taking selfies in classrooms, leaving notes on whiteboards and finding their old lockers.

The 50 alumni who joined us were excited to see the untouched rooftop and level 7 gym. They also marveled at the new sports facilities on the SAH ground floor and community hub complete with school honour boards.

A special mention must go to Michael Sligo who recreated his legendary rendition of Billy Joel’s Piano Man to the delight of the crowd.

We can’t wait to have you back through our doors soon.
