Hall of Honour Nominations 2022
Friday, 12 August 2022

It’s time to nominate an Old Andrean who you believe should be included in the SACS Hall of Honour for 2022.

Each year at our Evening of Celebration and Prizegiving (speech night), members of the school community are inducted into the Hall of Honour which recognizes students or Old Andreans whose achievements have been exceptional on a national level.

To qualify for consideration an Old Andrean must:

  • Exemplify the ethos of the School in their interactions with the School and wider community

  • Achieve national recognition based on merit. This is most likely to result in a national award being given to recognize that achievement possibly in the arts, public service, or academia or being selected to be part of a national team (or equivalent) in the arts or sport

Examples of Hall of Honour nominees could include:

  • Representing Australia or another country in a national team, competing in an international tournament in a recognised sport.

  • Winning a national writing award or national public speaking award or representing Australia at the International Youth Science Forum.

  • Winning a national writing award or national public speaking award or representing Australia at the International Youth Science Forum.

  • Receiving an Order of Australia award.

  • Serving in the Australian Armed Forces overseas. A separate Military Service Hall of Honour lists all past students who have served our country in foreign conflicts.

To nominate someone, please email alumni@sacs.nsw.edu.au with an outline of the candidate’s achievements and why you think they would qualify for this honour.

Nominations need to be received by Monday 12th September.
