Our School marked a historic milestone earlier this month, celebrating its 140th anniversary at Sydney Town Hall with a Commencement Assembly that saw our longest ever serving teacher, Mr Jim Boddy, receive the inaugural 'Legacy of Light' award.

The award, presented by The Honourable Prudence Ann Car MP, Deputy Premier and Minister for Education and Early Learning, recognises Mr Boddy's extraordinary 43 years of service to the school.

The event brought together students, staff, alumni, and distinguished guests, including Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of NSW, as well as every living former Head of School. In a testament to Mr Boddy's profound impact on the SACS community, he received multiple standing ovations from the packed hall.

Beloved by his colleagues and students, Mr Boddy is a true advocate for each student, always striving to help them grow to their full potential.

Mr Boddy's warmth, humility and generosity of spirit have earned him a lifetime membership of the Old Andreans Association, an accolade befitting someone so cherished.

Despite the accolades, Mr Boddy has reassured us that he isn't retiring just yet, ensuring his legacy at SACS continues to inspire for years to come.
