It was a joy and a pleasure to welcome nearly 50 Old Andreans as well as their partners back to School on June 3rd for the Diamond Lunch.  

The Diamond Lunch is an event held for our Old Andreans who graduated more than 40 years ago, and it was the first we have held since 2018, due the the impacts of COVID. This year we welcomed Old Andreans from the Class of 1984 and earlier.  

Our alumni had a tour of the School, took in the new Level 8 archive display, and were guests of honour at the Senior College assembly in the Cathedral - where Dr McGonigle heard stories from Bill Yeoman (OA1961) and Hall of Honour inductee Bobby Olup (OA1958).  

The event finished with a delightful lunch hosted by the School Vice Captains Daniel Bott and Aurelia Gorman (OA2024) and our Old Andreans were treated to a viewing of some priceless artefacts from the School archives. 

Speaking after the event one attendee commented: “It was a great way for us "Oldies" to catch up with our friends of yester years. For me, meeting up with old friends remembering our classmates was a wonderful experience. Sadly many of our "mates" of that period have passed, however, not forgotten. Thank you once again for this opportunity”.
