Stunning success came early this year for our newest Old Andreans with three members of the Class of 2023 achieving International Baccalaureate (IB) perfection. Dashiel Drury (OA2023), achieved 45.75 out of 45 in his IB Diploma and an ATAR of 99.95. He has been accepted to read Asian Studies (Chinese) at Christ Church College, University of Oxford. Further to this, Avi Chandna (OA2023) and Nathan Thiele (OA2023) were both awarded a perfect score of 45 out of 45. The news comes as SACS celebrates its best set of IB results in its history, with an average score of 38/45 and 74% of all grades 6s or 7s. Upon hearing the results, Dr McGonigle said to the whole cohort: “Not only are we proud of your results but we are also proud of who you have become, the character you have crafted, courage you have displayed and the convictions you have learned to hold true.” |
